PurposeCardiac re-transplantation (reTX) in pediatrics remains a rare occurrence, representing only 2% of all pediatric heart transplants (HT). The purpose this study was to describe the pre-transplant characteristics, waitlist outcomes and post-HT for reTX at our center.MethodsRetrospective review patients listed transplantation (HT) from 1/1/2014-10/18/2021. Pre-transplant characteristics post-transplant are compared primary HT.ResultsOf 215 total listings, 14 (7%) were reTX. Of these, 1 died on waitlist, 12 (92%) survived reTX, median 140 (62, 454) days 7 (4,11) years after HT. Three (21%) bridged with ventricular assist device (VAD). One patient received concurrent kidney transplant. When HT, older listing transplant (P= 0.01 0.008) less likely be status 1A (42% vs. 70%, P= 0.05). Post tracheostomy dialysis more common than transplant, though not statistically significant (Table 1). At follow up 667 (364, 1330) days, 9 (75%) 83% HT still alive (P=0.2), (Figure 1).ConclusionWe retransplant experience contemporary single center cohort.
